Ahkeke debuts their AW25 collection at London Fashion Week - entitled, “Whispers of the Secret Garden”. The collection is styled to unveil an earthen tonal range of deep royal blues, greens, and neutral beige complemented by subtle patterns throughout. The brand presents itself as a premium women’s wear and jewellery brand, honing its seam-lines in reflection of quintessential European sensibilities.
The collection highlights an understated beauty of the autumnal as it transforms into the colder, more static - dare I say, introspective winter months. The mercurial temperament of these seasons is highlighted in the moodiness of the colourways as they strut down the runway. Ahkeke’s offerings present solemn garments via structured silhouettes that read as serious - yet the audience watched as they became juxtaposed against playful baby pinks and lavender purples.
There is a jovial edge styled into the collection with fluttering ribbons which exist to draw the eye to the ankle. Tying in colourful gloves to heel, the eye is always engaged, intrigued by the subsequent look to appear. This collection is “inspired by a chance discovery of a secluded London garden, the collection transforms nature’s quiet resilience into ethereal, sculptural fashion”. Despite the chill of winter, florals writhe beneath, full of life and colour - awaiting the warmth of the spring to reemerge.
