Witch Post

Bare witness to the electrifying musical get-together of Witch Post, a blend of Dylan Fraser and Alaska Reid, as their incoming debut EP is heading our way this April. Much like the name, Beast, the dynamic duo have unleashed their first offering of the composition with a perfect roar titled, ‘Dreaming’, as they release their grip on the elevated depths of their chemistry.
Reaching out from disparate corners of the globe, the unlikely combination of the two plays into their charm, making you think “I don’t know why it works, but it does.” Alaska’s haunting yet atmospheric sounds are dug up at the root of her native Montana location whilst the warping, raw chimes of pop-rock stem from Dylan’s ferocious Scottish allure, bringing to life the bite of their Beast. There’s something more powerful at play here, as this latest single taps into a world of what’s yet to come, shifting between ethereal checkpoints before plunging us into a scene of pounding drums and gnashing guitars.
Speaking on the new track, the band share: “We walk along the Thames. Dark water reflecting a full moon. We have a pint on the roof of a pub. The wind is icy but it’s tough to care when we can feel something bubbling below the surface, a secret of some kind. Fast forward to this year and we’re lying in the snow two miles away from the Yellowstone River. She stares down the North Star and he grits his teeth. Everything is quiet for a moment.”
